Dear Colleagues:

You are cordially invited to register for this Glia Satellite Meeting to be held at the Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific Hotel, Sydney, NSW, Australia.

This Meeting will be focused on the role played by glial cells, in particular astroglia and microglia, during development as well as during adulthood and aging in the CNS. Topics will include the origins and mechanisms of lineage determination of glia, the signals regulating glial behaviour and function in the normal as well as pathologic states, the nature and mechanisms of glial cell interaction with neurons and the contributions of glia to protection and injury in different CNS diseases. Have a look at the Program

The program includes two plenary lectures (Oleg Butovsky and Michael V. Sofroniew) and 6 symposia (4 outstanding experts in the field/each). The event will also accommodate 2 oral sessions (selected from submitted abstracts), as well as a continuous poster exhibition, so that attendants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their results along the meeting.
